My Reading Prediction

I have learnt to use pictures to give detailed predictions about the story.

I liked that I made a good prediction about her personality.

Im proud that I made an overall good prediction.

Line, Graph,

During this week we practice our basic facts for homework. On Fridays we have a speed test where we have to try to complete 100 facts under 6.30 minutes.
This graph shows my scores so far. I like these because it helps me with my learning and it helps me to achieve my goals for my learning.  When I look at my graph I can see what I  my scores are.

Art Portraits

Julius
WALT sketch a face by following grid guidelines to make each feature on the face in proportion.

First we drew a picture of what we thought we looked like.
I thought my before picture was ugly because the jaw was ugly and it looked angry.  The ears were not in proportion with the face.

After a few art lessons we learned how to sketch a grid across the shape of our face to help us draw each feature in proportion.

I thought my after picture looked like superman.  I am proud of my picture because I like the hair that I drew.

Sensory Garden Recount

Reflection on my Recount -
  • Underline where you think you are in your learning of the sensory recount.
  • Remember you are just assessing how well you described your surroundings, using descriptive words or poetic devices.

Extended Abstract
I can help someone else to suggest ways to improve their own sensory recount.

Relational
I can add a poetic device to make it more interesting e.g simile, metaphor or alliteration.

Multistructural
I can describe using more than 2 senses in my recount.

Unistructural
I can describe using at least 2 of my senses in my recount.

Pre-structural
I need help to find words to describe what I see, feel, touch, or hear.

I have put myself at relational  stage because I have more than two similes and I have more than two senses in my story.

My next learning step is to work on having more language features in my writing and putting more details into it.
