I am learning to learn how to spell new words and to use them in my writing.

I am so proud of being able to use the S.A.L.T Spelling strategy to help me to learn how to spell my words.

It can be tricky to spell long words.

My buddy can help me to learn how to spell the hard words.

The next step for me in my learning might be to try to learn harder words.

The End Of The Path

                      The End of the Path

It’s the 25th of April 1915 .  It's pitch black.  We are under the cover of darkness.  It's just before 3am.  I'm crammed in a landing boat with thirty nine other nervous soldiers. We were wild with fear and excitement.  

I was sweating like a waterfall.  All I could hear was the rough waves pushing against my boat.  I could feel  the smooth wind  swirling on my skin. My heart was pounding.  I could not move because I was shaking like a washing machine.  Was I going to die?

Suddenly the moon dipped behind the grey clouds.  Minutes later my boat  stopped on the sandy beach.  Then a big loud boom came from one of the steamboats.  Bullets were flying everywhere.  I didn't know what was happening so I ducked down crying  and praying to God that I want to be  safe  and that I want to go back to New Zealand .  I could smell everyone's fear.

This is HELL!!!!...  Was this the end of my path.

Reflection
I am learning to write a proper recount
What I found tricky was to put capital letters and full stops and other punctuation.
What I found easy was to get ideas and better words
This helped me to write a better recount

I am learning to recognise the effect of dividing numbers by ten and then by ten again.

I am so proud of being able to divide by 10 and 100.

It can be tricky to multiply decimals.

My Teacher could help me with my learning.
